Indian businessman Gautam Adani has overtaken the business tycoon Anil Ambani to become Asia’s richest person.
As per Forbes, Adani has a total net worth of $90.1 billion also making him the 10th richest person in the world.
Adani has a pinhead lead of $100 million head of Reliance Industries; Mukesh Ambani.
Adani is a college dropout and this is a huge rise for him. He started a commodity export firm back in 1988. He is the chairman and founder of the Adani Group which includes a range of mixed businesses from power generation and transmission to edible oil.
Asia’s richest person.
As per Forbes, from April 2021, Adani’s net worth has increased nearly by a double from $50.5 billion to $90.1 billion. During this period Ambani only grew from $84.5 billion to $90 billion, which is only 6.5% in growth.
Adani’s group appears to be supported by Prime minister Narendra Modi. In 2014, Mr. Modi was a guest at Adani’s son’s wedding.
